A little help.

Help for Stowberry’s first release, currently in pre-release testing.

Please include your device model, iOS version and what happened. Don’t send passwords, payment details or a full inventory backup unless we specifically discuss a safe way to share it.

Food & quantities

Can I record half a portion?

Yes. Quantities support decimals and different units. Separate batches keep their own amounts, dates and locations. Grams and portions aren’t added together.

How does Undo work?

After using food, Undo reverses that specific change. If another change means the original quantity can’t be restored safely, the app will explain what needs attention instead of silently replacing newer stock.

Does “Use soon” mean food is unsafe?

No. It follows the reminder dates you choose. Stowberry does not assess food safety, temperature, spoilage or allergens. Use appropriate food-safety guidance and your own judgment.

Your data

Do I need an account?

No account is needed for local use. Optional Sign in with Apple enables your personal device sync and household features. You can keep using local inventory offline.

Can I export or back up my inventory?

Free export and full Stowberry backup/restore are part of the first release. CSV is for reading your inventory in other tools; the Stowberry backup preserves the app’s structure. Keep backup files somewhere you trust, since they may include private notes and photos.

How do I request deletion?

Account deletion is in Settings. You can also contact privacy@stowberry.app for a privacy request. Account deletion removes your personal cloud inventory and any household you own. Contributions to a household owned by someone else remain available to its members, with your photo-uploader attribution removed. Leaving that household also leaves your contributions in place. Deletion cannot erase copies already exported or downloaded by other members, and does not cancel an Apple subscription.

Safety in a household

How do I report or block someone?

Open Household → Household safety. Send a report with the content or member and a brief reason. Blocking ends sharing with the household and prevents a new shared household with that account. For an owner, it closes the household for everyone; the confirmation explains the effect. Your personal inventory stays separate. Unblocking does not rejoin the old household.

Why can’t another member see my photo yet?

Household photos are reviewed before they become visible to other members. Text inventory continues to sync while a photo is pending. Your personal photos do not need household approval. Contact support if a shared photo needs attention.

Plus & households

Does everyone in a household need Plus?

No. One Plus subscriber sponsors a household of up to six people, including the owner. Invited members can use that shared household without buying their own subscription.

How do I cancel a subscription?

On iPhone or iPad, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions. Select Stowberry and follow Apple’s cancellation options. You can also use Apple’s subscription cancellation guide. Deleting the app or your Stowberry account does not cancel billing.

What happens if Plus expires?

Existing inventory and export stay available. Extra freezers remain readable and correctable, while new stock uses one primary freezer. Shared collaboration pauses. Members keep clearly labeled local snapshots; those copies do not silently merge back later.

What if a shared change can’t sync?

The app keeps the attempted change visible as needing attention. For example, two people cannot both consume the same last portion without a conflict being shown.
